Terms of Service
Last updated 7 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and ETHERNECO LTD for the use of EtherSSH. By signing in or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
01The service
EtherSSH is a browser-based workspace for operating remote machines: SSH sessions, file transfer, port forwarding, cloud instance control, an encrypted credential vault, a server catalog, auditing and AI-assisted suggestions. It is provided by ETHERNECO LTD, company number 14648043, registered in England and Wales.
Private preview. EtherSSH is currently offered to a limited group of operators. Features may change or be withdrawn, availability is not guaranteed, and access may be ended at our discretion. Do not rely on it as the only route to systems you must be able to reach.
02Accounts and access
- Registration is invite-only. An administrator issues an invitation for your email address.
- You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate registration details.
- Your account is personal. Do not share your credentials or let anyone else use your access.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account, and for enabling and protecting your second authentication factor.
- Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
03Your responsibility for the machines you connect
EtherSSH is a client. It connects to the systems you choose, using credentials you supply, and runs the commands you issue. You confirm that:
- you are authorised to access every host, cloud account and service you configure;
- you have the right to store the keys, passwords and secrets you place in the vault;
- you are responsible for the consequences of the commands you run, including data loss, downtime and configuration changes on your own or your customers' systems.
04Acceptable use
You must not use EtherSSH to:
- access any system without authorisation, or attempt to;
- attack, scan, overload or disrupt any network or service, including ours;
- break any applicable law, or infringe anyone else's rights;
- store or distribute malware, or content that is unlawful;
- circumvent authentication, rate limits, audit logging or any other security control in the product;
- resell, sublicense or provide the service to third parties without our written agreement.
We may suspend or terminate access immediately where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken, or where continued access risks the security of the service or others.
05AI features
AI-assisted suggestions are advisory. Output can be wrong, incomplete or unsafe for your environment — review every command before you run it, particularly against production systems. You remain responsible for what you execute. Where you configure a hosted AI provider, the content you submit is processed by that provider under its own terms.
06Your data and content
You keep all rights in the data you put into EtherSSH. We use it to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
07Intellectual property
EtherSSH, its source code, design and brand remain the property of ETHERNECO LTD. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service. They do not transfer any ownership.
08Availability and support
We aim to keep the service available and reliable, but during the preview we offer no uptime commitment and no formal support terms. Maintenance, updates and interruptions may occur without notice.
09Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of or damage to data arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or £100.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
10Ending the agreement
You may stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account for breach of these terms, for security reasons, or on reasonable notice if we discontinue the service. On closure your workspace data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy; audit records are kept for the stated retention period.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. Material changes will be announced in the application before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
12Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law where you live.
